Cookie Party 2!!!

We made cookies the last lesson before Christmas. It was very nice. We made the cookies together and the recipe was in English, so it was also an English lesson. We learned new English words for the ingredients like flour, eggs, baking soda, brown sugar, teaspoon, etc.
In this picture, there were two groups, one group for each family. On the left is Mathilda with Jean David, and on the right is Tabatha and Ariel.

In this picture Mathilda is with Jean David, we are measuring a teaspoon of baking soda.

Here, Ariel and Tabatha are cutting a big chocolate bar into little pieces for the cookies. We used a big chocolate bar because in France chocolate chips are very expensive, and it is more fun to cut the chocolate into pieces. Because if we had just the chocolate chip cookies, we would only be able to make the dough, and not cut the chocolate. Plus, we can have different sizes of chocolate, some big and some small. But with chocolate chips, they are all the same size.

Here the cookies are finished and put on plates. But there is still more dough in boxes to take home and bake later. Mathilda and Jean David used all their cookie dough one week after making the dough. We ate the cookies with our family during Christmas vacation.

In this picture the cookies are finished, and they are bigger than they were before we baked them. We already ate one box of dough with Tabatha's best friend when she came to sleep at her house the next day. The other box of dough is in the freezer, we will bake the cookies on the 7th of March for Ariel's birthday.

I'm reading your cookie post minutes before my lunch and I am very hungry. This was not fair. Just kidding. The cookies look very delicious. I will never look at our same-sized chocolate chip cookies in the same way again.

Hey friends from France, I love your cookies and in fact they are big but very delicious at the same time. I totally like the pictures of you making them so excited seeing ou friends working together. If the cookies are so expensive in France, as you say, then I want to know how much are the cookies cost then? Our family doesn't eat cookies very often only on special holidays but I guess that on the year 2008 she didn't feel like eating nothing with sweet that's what she doesn't like, the sweet.

Hello Maria,
The chocolate chips are very expensive in France...it costs about 10 euros ($13) to make one recipe of cookies. That is very expensive.
Why doesn't your family like eating sweet food?
In France we eat dessert after lunch and dinner, and for a snack we eat sweet food, for example Belgium waffles, cookies, cake, etc.
See you next time,
Ariel, Tabatha, and Mathilda

Wow those cookies are big and look delicious. Was it hard to cut the chocolate? What is Belgium? I know what waffles are I eat them for breakfast most of the time. I remember when I first tried baking cookies that they came out to small or to big and they got burned to. My family also eats something sweet after dinner. Well hope to see some of your dessert recipes so we can try them to.
