Dear President Obama,
We are Ameline Bringel and Florine Thuillier, two French high school students who learn English at a private language school, near Paris, called MyVoice. Our address is: MyVoice 49, rue du VIADUC 91800 BRUNOY, France.
In class with our American teacher we learned a lot about the American election process, and of course, a lot about you as well. We are writing this letter to congratulate you on becoming the 44th American President. We are also writing this letter to ask you some questions. We would like to know if it isn’t too hard to manage seven jobs. We learned in class that your seven jobs are: Chief of the Executive Branch, Economic Leader, Foreign Policy Leader, Legislative Leader, Commander in Chief, Chief of State and Party Leader. Which of these seven jobs do you consider to be the most important? Which is the most difficult for you? And which do you enjoy the most?
We would also like to ask you a question regarding the environment. We are very concerned about the state of our planet and feel strongly that we all need to do what we can to decrease global warming. Every country must do their part. What are you going to do as President of the United States of America to preserve the planet? How are you going to lead the Americans in this very important issue?
Our teacher told us that every letter sent to The President is read and answered. With that said, we wait your response with anticipation.

Letter to President Obama from Nicolas and Mathilde

Dear President Obama,
We are Nicolas Loubrieu and Mathilde Marechal, 17 and 18-year old French high school students who learn English at a private language school, near Paris, called MyVoice. Our address is: MyVoice 49, rue du VIADUC 91800 BRUNOY, France.
First of all we would like to congratulate you on your victory. What an honor becoming the 44th American President.
After learning about your life, your goals, your job as President, and your future challenges as the leader of the American people, we decided to write you a letter, to ask for some precision regarding certain issues.
In your Inauguration Address you said that you would begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its’ people. We would like to know how you plan on doing this. Here in France, as you know, we think that the war is a terrible thing. What a tragedy that so many innocent people have lost, and continue to loose, their lives in this horrible war.
Another issue we feel is so very important is the environment. We would like to know if you are going to sign the Kyoto Treaty. For the USA is a great polluter of the planet, accentuating global warming due to the emission of greenhouse gases. We feel that every country must do their part in preserving the environment for future generations.
Lastly, due to your education and work in an ONG as a community organizer, helping people improve their lives, we sincerely hope that you will help people in need, because we feel this is the most important issue. Everyone deserves to live a dignified life, with a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Our teacher told us that every letter sent to The President is read and answered. With that said, we wait your response with anticipation.

Dear President Obama,
We are Maud Lanneree and Guillaume Cognard, high school students in Brunoy, France. Brunoy is 25 km southeast of Paris. We learn English at a private language school called MyVoice. Our address is: MyVoice 49, rue du VIADUC 91800 BRUNOY, France.
We would like to congratulate you on becoming the 44th American President. You are the first black President in the USA, this is exceptional because 40 years ago there was still slavery in your country.
We are happy you are President for many reasons. We are happy because you want to stop the war in Iraq. In France, we think the war is useless. We are also happy because you will change the mentality regarding the way we “see” people of color. Now there aren’t only white people who can access high positions, and you can serve as the example for this. For even if you are born into a poor family, you can rise in the society and make your dreams become a reality. Lastly, we are happy because you take to heart the environment of the planet, and with you, the Americans will be more conscience of the reality of their over-consummation and waste. With your help, our planet will be in a better state, and one day our grandchildren will see flowers.
If you have time, it would be great if you came to France. We would be honored to see you and hear you speak.

Tsypa and Charlène in the Mountains
Tsypa was at a ski resort with Charlène. There was a lot of snow. It was cold.
Charlène was with her mother, her mother's friend and Tsypa in the snow. They were happy.
There were cars with a lot of snow on them. It was snowing on New Year's Eve.
Charlène and Tsypa were with their cousins. It was Christmas Day. Charlène had a lot of presents.
